Finger-lacing
pulse racing
smile-facing
thought blocking
off-feet knocking
lips locking
sense-dazing
future gazing
all’s amazing
time-stopping
heart-propping
cherry-topping
The morning greets you
It has no reservations
Grant it a big hug

This time together
A treasure we must cherish
Let it not pass by

There is a blue sky
See the sun shining for you
Smile in gratitude

I received this beautiful award from Jingle.
I would like to nominate Jingle for the Perfect Poet Award.
Will do in a pinch
though last on the list
just used like the winch
you get the gist
Not the best spot
when one-sided figures in
what you see is all you got
because all of ’em, you can’t win
It’s the hard place or the rock
and you’re caught between the two
sometimes love ties you up in knots
with just no way to break through

¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿
Can’t stop, try as I might
keeps hope in sight
i have the right
when something bites
don’t want to fight
seeks to make light
thoughts take flight
helps things sit right
peace-fills the night
i feel alright
all this; the why i write

Today October 20, 2010 is the 2nd Annual National Day for Writing sponsored by the NCTE and The National Gallery of Writing.
How can we justify our greed
when there are millions of people in need?
On plates at a restaurant, I see so much waste
and think, that some poor child would beg for just a taste
Many in my country continually acquire
much more than a comfortable living would ever require
Yet, the drive to attain is always there
instead of the thought of how to care
What ever happened to “share the wealth?”
The least we all could do
is that for each thing new we get
give double to a needy soul who has nothing, yet
It truly is right to let go of all greed
Giving is the treasure to be sown like the seeds
A beautiful smile will spread across our very own face
when we nurture others to thrive in this human race

Hello, hello
hello, I repeat
to silence, only silence
for you do not speak
I wonder to myself
who would make a call
then simply hold on
saying nothing at all
Then I ponder, that maybe
you only wanted to know
what it would be like
to just hear someone say
hello
